Every creative project is a collective effort. Here’s who shows up to help me do this work.

Avis (human, tries her best)

Writer, editor, peace nerd. Makes final decisions. Occasionally needs caffeine but not animal meat or booze.

Teo (dog, morale officer)

Heard often on the podcast. Excellent listener. Demands walks at inconvenient times. Keeps the work grounded in the physical world. Favorite toy: Gator.

Eddy (cat, nap officer)

Rescue. Named after Edward Abbey (later found to be female). Also does not harm animals. 

U & G (AI collaborators)

Good at brainstorming, editing, research support. Bad at being human. Never publish anything on their own. Not allowed to have opinions without supervision.

Commons Chickens (reality check department)

Heard occasionally on the podcast. Unimpressed by deadlines except for the 5 am alarm crows. Are “townies,” not Avis’s chickens but we share the yard.
